Waste Reduction, Waste Management and Energy Conservation
Where feasible and appropriate, we will participate in programs leading to energy conservation and the reduction, reuse, recycling and recovery of wastes.
The Environmental Management System has been formed to address the primary environmental impacts of Inland Concrete's operations such as:
- Air Emissions
o Dust emissions from raw materials, sandblasting etc.
- Spills
o Acid, concrete, fuel, etc.
- Chemical Handling/Use
o Chemical releases, impacts from improper handling, storage, mixing, etc.
- Water Management
o Releases into watercourses or sewers
o On-site water management
- Hazardous Substances / Waste
o Off-spec product disposal
o Fly ash management, etc.
- Noise
- Waste Management
o General wastes
o Waste concrete
o Housekeeping
The systematic, documented approach to managing environmental risks works by assuming responsibility and control.
